Celebrate the Season with AppleFest

Fall is the time to go crazy for apples! Discover and taste different varieties during Applefest.
All week long your cafes will help you rediscover the diversity of this iconic fruit by sharing apple-inspired dishes and featuring unique local heirlooms and classic favorites.
We also have some fun fact to get you in the apple-tizing mood:
- 2,500 varieties of apples are grown in the United States and in all 50 states. 7,500 varieties are grown throughout the world.
- Apples are fat, sodium, and cholesterol free.
- Apples trees take 4 to 5 years to produce their first fruit.
- Apples are a member of the rose family.
- Don’t peel. Two-thirds of the fiber and lots of antioxidants are found in the apple peel.
- Archeologist have found evidence that humans have been enjoying apples since at least 6500 B.C.
- National Apple Month, originally founded in 1904 as Apple Week, expanded in 1996 to September- November.
